Health Sciences Center: Advisory Board
The Center for Human Nutrition (CHN) is an interdisciplinary
team encompassing basic and clinical research, post-graduate
training and career development of nutrition professionals,
and community outreach. The research conducted at the CHN
focuses on obesity prevention and treatment, nutrient metabolism,
and micronutrient status in children. The community outreach
activities initiated and conducted through the CHN aim to
improve quality of life by promoting physical activity and
nutritional awareness.

American Gala: Program Co-Chair
APIAVote, in collaboration with local and regional API leaders,
is hosting a gala/networking reception, a part of the series
of gala events, receptions and parties staged around the Democratic
National Convention 2008. APIAVote is a national nonpartisan,
nonprofit organization that encourages and promotes civic
participation of Asian Pacific Islander Americans in the electoral
and public policy processes at the national, state and local
levels.

Colorado Dragon Boat Festival: Chair, Cultural Education
Chair, Cultural Education. Colorado Dragon Boat Festival is
known as one of the region's premier cultural summertime festivals.
The Colorado Dragon Boat Festival attracts over a hundred
thousand visitors to Denver’s Sloan's Lake Park. Guests
enjoy two full days of shopping in the Asian Marketplace and
entertainment on the Performing Arts Stage, as well as the
thrilling athletic competition of Dragon Boat Races.

She is a recipient of Denver’s “2007 Women of
Distinction” Award from Girl Scouts of America-Mile
High Chapter, and selected by Denver’s 5280 Magazine
as one of “22 to Watch in 2002.” Mary Lee formerly

member American Dietetic Association.
