The American Council for Fitness and Nutrition (ACFN) is a non-profit organization that brings together food and beverage companies, associations, and health and nutrition advocates to work toward viable long-term solutions to the nation's obesity epidemic, working with health professionals, educators, policy makers and others on comprehensive and sustainable approaches to reducing and preventing obesity.

Center for Human Nutrition at the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center: Advisory Board
The Center for Human Nutrition (CHN) is an interdisciplinary team encompassing basic and clinical research, post-graduate training and career development of nutrition professionals, and community outreach. The research conducted at the CHN focuses on obesity prevention and treatment, nutrient metabolism, and micronutrient status in children. The community outreach activities initiated and conducted through the CHN aim to improve quality of life by promoting physical activity and nutritional awareness.

APIAVote, in collaboration with local and regional API leaders, is hosting a gala/networking reception, a part of the series of gala events, receptions and parties staged around the Democratic National Convention 2008. APIAVote is a national nonpartisan, nonprofit organization that encourages and promotes civic participation of Asian Pacific Islander Americans in the electoral and public policy processes at the national, state and local levels.
